Dope is a new band that is hitting it big in the music industry. Touring with Static-X over the fall months of '99, the band's popularity is growing by the day. Their debut release "Felons and Revolutionaries" contains 13 full length tracks. The band hold's their own, and they have a quite heavy style of music which is odd enough because of their guitar tunings. They tend not to go along with the down tuning of guitar strings which is very common in heavy music today. The band says that their tuning keeps them on the edge and gives them their punk edge.

A 5-man band from New York, contains a set of brothers. Edsel and Simon Dope. The band's name isn't just something picked out of thin air. They got the name from when they first started off in the music industry. They used to have to sell dope to earn enough money to be able to produce demos and to get new equipment. Their hard work on and off the stage has paid off. The band deserves a listen, so check out Felons and Revolutionairies! Keep an eye open because you never know what Dope has in store next...
